CHASE
Chase is a graduate student in English Literature who originally hails from the Deep South, thus explaining her sinister attraction to all things goth and verbal.
Nevertheless, she resisted the siren song of Buffy the Vampire Slayer for many years, until an FX re-run of "School Hard" finally showed her the error of her ways. Soon realizing that the series itself just wasn't enough to satisfy her newfound obsession, she turned to the ever-expanding universe of fanfiction, first as a reader, then, after months of increasing dismay over the direction of the Buffy-Spike relationship post-"Wrecked", as a writer. She is thrilled that people have responded so kindly to this, the first creative writing she's attempted in years.
When Chase isn't busy working in Whedon's world, she enjoys long, over-plotted historical epics, supernatural thrillers, celebrity biographies, and all things mafia-related. She encourages her readers to send her recommendations in any of the aforementioned genres.
SALIERI
Salieri fell in love with the Jossverse during the
infamous sixth season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and
has since developed a fascination with the characters
of Buffy, Spike and Angel. She's a long-time fic
reader who had no intention of actually writing
herself, until she tried one story as an experiment in
fall 2004. Since then, she hasn't been able to stop.
She is deeply grateful for all of the support she has
received from the fandom.
Salieri is a science geek in real life who will
happily discuss astronomy for hours on end. Read her blog (where she sometimes posts WIPs), or email her.
FAYJAY
FayJay is happily no longer the site's only
Brit. She's been unhealthily obsessed with the Jossverse since 1999, then discovered fanfiction almost by accident at the end of 2001 and was instantly hooked. She is still a little surprised to find herself writing gay vampire snuff porn.
Recently Fay has been sucked into the sweet, angsty, empty calorie goodness that is Smallville fic, after catching half an episode of what is surely the trashiest, slashiest show ever aired. (There is some *fabulous* fiction in that fandom right now.)
When not writing or reading GayVampireSnuffPornTM, Fay does English stuff, such as having a cuppa tea or nearly getting shagged. Read FayJay's live journal.
HERSELF
A Buffy fan only since September 2001, Herself never intended to write fanfiction. Herself should know by now that she must never never intend to do things.
Herself is delighted and rather gobsmacked by the positive response her work has received. And she's delighted that writing fanfiction has brought her so many wonderful new associations, including those with Kalima and FayJay.
Herself lives in Greenwich Village, NYC with her sheltie dog, Miss Traddles. She vacations in 19th century London, just by closing her eyes. Read her blog, Two Blocks From the River.
KALIMA
Kalima was an exotic dancer for four days in Sacramento, California during July of 1976. It was better than being a masseuse but not much. Since then she has done many things to support her writing habit and none of them paid as well as exotic dancing, not even her writing.
Kalima is proud, damn proud, to call herself a professional (writer, not exotic dancer). She has actually been paid once or twice for works of fiction. And, goddess willing, she will be again. In the meantime, there's always BtVS, which keeps her sane and sustains her soul if not her pocketbook.
Kalima loves Buffy, Buffy's friends, and Buffy's enemies equally, like a good mother ought.
