Notes
Exactly what it says. It's in the basement, not too chic, in an ordinary
middle class neighborhood, but very easy to find, at least if you're going
eastbound (see below). A great place for drinking and generally partying
"DOWN" 'til 4am. We usually do.
Directions
From The East (i.e. the Hutch):
Take Cross County Parkway west to exit 5 for Midland Ave, make Right at stop sign, go down the hill, make R at light, go underneath highway, make L onto Cross County Parkway service road, take Exit 7 for W Broad St/Gramatan Ave. It leads to a traffic light. The Low Down is on the left-hand corner across the intersection.
From The South:
Take the Triboro Bridge to the Major Deegan (I-87) to Cross County Parkway exit. Get immediately into the right lane on the service road and follow sign for Cross County Parkway going East. Follow sign for Kimball Ave, but do not take the exit for Kimball. Instead, follow sign for Bronx River Pkwy and Sprain Pkwy, but don't exit onto them, either. Instead, keep on the Cross County Pkwy to Exit 7 for W Broad St/Gramatan Ave. It leads to a traffic light. The Low Down is on the left-hand corner across the intersection.
From The North:
Take Bronx River Pkwy south to Cross County Parkway east. Take Exit 7 for W Broad St/Gramatan Ave. It leads to a traffic light. The Low Down is on the left-hand corner across the intersection.
From The West:
Get on the Cross County Parkway heading east, by any means necessary. Take Exit 7 for W Broad St/Gramatan Ave. It leads to a traffic light. The Low Down is on the left-hand corner across the intersection.
