Press Release (June 1997)
Ten Ton Tide are about to release their second E.P. cassette since acquiring singer Joe Scarangella, front man of the acclaimed Rush tribute band Power Windows. The cassettes are due for delivery from the factory late in August.
The title of the new release is 'Til Tomorrow's Today. The band pursued the same writing and recording strategy which resulted in their well-received previous E.P., Deluge. Band members presented songs and song fragments in various stages of completion, and the band as a whole then arranged and developed the material in live rehearsal. The band recorded once again at The Den, in Spotswood, NJ. The guitarist, Zak Rizvi, engineered the tracking and mixing, which were done during Dec 1996 and Jan 1997.
A new artist, Phil DeVita, makes his album-cover debut on this release.
A mini-tour is being booked for September of this year to showcase the material from both E.P.'s, which will be on sale at all shows. The Tide plan to continue writing until another four or five songs are completed, and will release those songs on a CD together with the songs on both E.P. cassettes sometime in the winter.
