Anthony Tirado
Tony has over 15 years of experience playing with various bands in the New York
City club circuit. He studied guitar with Rick Howard and flamenco guitar with
William del Pilar. His bass technique was entirely self-taught by copying such
bassists as Geddy Lee, Jaco Pastorius,
Jeff Berlin, and Chris Squire.
In the early days of Power Windows, he made a number of appearances as substitute singer/bass player for the Rush tribute band, as well as playing bass in The Tempted. A native
of New York City, he credits music with saving him from the drug & crime
infestation which surrounded him in his native Bedford-Stuyvesant & Crown
Heights: "Because of music, I'm still alive
and not in jail, unlike many of my
friends".
