Musicians Zak Rizvi, Dan Gibson, Jim Toscano, plus former opera singer Dennis Cynd huddled together in the cramped home studio (affectionaly dubbed "Gibsonic Studios" by the band) to record and mix the glorious music heard on Ten Ton Tide's debut CD. They had one special guest, guitarist Al Pitrelli (Asia, Alice Cooper, Great White, currently in Widowmaker) who was able to fit into the cramped apartment and pull off some progressive riffs on "Veil," "Soul Sex" and "Elixir."
After the recording was finished, Mr. Cynd wisely decided not to endure the stress of making a professional career in music, and kept his day job. The unemployed Anthony, plus Zak and Dan - who have "day jobs" in the successful Rush-tribute band, Power Windows - convinced their coworker Joe Scarangella, to join Ten Ton Tide.
The result is a lively in-concert experience of solid original music made up of the eight selections of Ten Ton Tide's 65 minute CD. Songs that have been receiving rave notices live and on radio include "Love 101," and "Infantile Nebulae," plus a song for dance music fans "Soul Sex."
