consumer report
here are some of the things i bought in maine:
- lobster dishes. at mikasa i bought four soup bowls and two platters. i wasn't going to buy them. i told paul, "i really don't need them." "but what about your soul?" he asked. note to self: keep paul.
- a couple of rectangular ceramic baking dishes from le creuset. orange, natch.
- dinner.

funny you should ask. there is one at exit 3 on the maine turnpike -- we made a special trip to bring some home with us.

oh, how I love those lobster platters. I am a firm believer in serving lobster on 12" dishes.

the platters i got actually aren't shown in the picture -- they're oblong, a rectangle with rounded corners, and each has a single big lobster on it. just perfect for lobster for two. so, you know, come visit!

You had better keep him "for your soul"

Lobster aversion isn't a bug, it's a feature. Not eating lobster leaves more room for salmon, you see.
