holiday cookie #4

mint-singleton.jpgthese dainty lovelies are a combination of nick malgieri's dark chocolate sabls and his french vanilla sabls spiked with peppermint.

if i had them to do over again, i'd make them much smaller. i didn't take the spread of the dough into account, so they're much larger than i'd intended. a good lesson to learn when monkeying with other people's recipes.

I have made these, following the recipe exactly, and they did not spread at all. I swore that if I ever made them again I would make them bigger! What did you do that increased the final size? they look really yummy!

i have no idea what i did! i cut them 1/4" thick, as the recipe demanded. color me stumped.
