On My Way to a Wake
September 1st, 2011 Posted in UncategorizedAn Uncle died (not one I was very close to) and I’m on a bus on my way to his wake. I’m sad that he died of course, but I am going for my cousin’s sake. It’s hard to lose a parent. Still can’t get over that I can be online from a bus. Life is amazing.
And yet another view of One World Trade Center. (I told you I had a major crush on it.)

And the car wash that I go to has free WiFi, so I can sit in the car while it’s being cleaned and fluffed and work on the laptop. Isn’t modern technology wonderful?

Speaking of modern technology, this is an interesting project:
“Greenpoint resident Brian August has created a mobile app that superimposes silhouettes of the World Trade Center’s iconic towers onto photos of the New York skyline — from any point in the city.”

I hope you’re watching “Engineering Ground Zero” on channel 21 right now. All about our favorite new skyscraper, and environs.
