I Want to Visit This Haunted House

In the description the owner describes it as “slightly haunted.” What he writes is hysterical:

“Nothing serious … The sounds of phantom footsteps. A strange knocking sound followed by a very quiet (hardly noticeable, even) scream at 3:13am, maybe once a week. Twice a week, tops. And the occasional ghastly visage lurking behind you in the bathroom mirror. Even still, this occurs very rarely and only in the second floor bathroom.”

I wonder how far away it is? According to Google it’s 2 1/2 hours away if I drove, which I wouldn’t. But that gives me some idea, that’s not terribly far. Except, he’s probably joking, isn’t he?

  1. “Twice a week, tops.” Well, I could deal with that, I suppose.

It looks like that man in the ball cap has stopped to talk with the Author. I guess the library wouldn’t let him sit inside. That’s got to be a cold way to make a living. It’s almost like busking. Or, maybe it is just like busking.

Happy new year soon, in case I don’t get back for week. I have been checking on you since you said you were at home, sick and craving grilled cheese. I make a lovely grilled cheese, but I wasn’t coming down there, sorry. I am finishing up the marking of exams for the course in propaganda for which I am the TA. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Randal_Marlin That is the prof, a very nice person as well as ‘the world expert’ in propaganda.

  2. I’m so glad someone is teaching about propaganda (which gets me so down when I think about it).

Happy new year to you too!!

    And yeah, that poor author.
