No Heat!

January 23rd, 2014 Posted in Uncategorized

It’s 10 degrees (-1 real feel) and there’s no heat or hot water in my apartment. Terrific. That said, being parked in front of a space heater is actually quite pleasant and cosy. I just can’t move a body part outside the tiny zone of warmth.

This is Grace Church during the snow storm. It doesn’t look quite real, does it?

Why is there no heat in your apartment? Is someone coming to fix it pronto?
We’re looking forward to 60+ hours straight next week of below zero temps; during our last cold snap my old boiler/radiator heater in this house could barely keep up. I hate to think what would happen with no heat–hope that is fixed for you soon.

Stacy, you and the kittens be safe. I hope you have a very heavy quilt to snuggle in and a microwave to heat up soup/tea/coffee.

No word from the landlord yet!! But the sun has warmed up my apartment somewhat.

    Hi Stacy,
you haven’t heard from me for a while, but I’m still out here.

You know, it’s ironic that a ship went down to Antarctica to measure the loss of ice due to global warming, and got icebound in cold only 3 degrees higher than the coldest on record.

So another ship went to get them out, but it got frozen in the ice, and now a massive Coast Guard ice breaker has gone to bail out the other two.

I hope you and the cats are bundled up.

My main reason for this post is just to tell you once again that you consistently take some of the best winter shots in dim light that I have ever seen.

I’m telling you that you should make a book out of these photographs. Don’t throw any of your winter shots away. These photos are superb!

Make a collection of them and put them up for sale — I will be a customer.

    Beautiful picture.

Let us know if any of us New Yorkers can help out.

GREG!! Welcome back!! And thank you. (Unfortunately, as soon as I post a shot I throw it away.)

And thank you Lucinda. The heat is back, although it’s still freezing.
