Still sick!

December 28th, 2009 Posted in Uncategorized

I’m sorry I’ve been absent and I have lots of email to answer, but I’m still sick. My head hurts like hell! The doctor on call from my doctor’s office didn’t advise going to the ER, he said I should ride it out instead. He also suggested trying different pain killers and that helped a lot. The one I was using wasn’t doing anything, but others make it almost go away as long as I keep taking them.

But I am so sick of being sick, and I am going so stir crazy I am almost out of my mind!! I am tempted to go to a movie or something, but I don’t feel quite up to it, I’m afraid I will make myself worse, or I’ll infect others with this horror.

So that’s my story. I’m mostly lying on the couch moaning. Here is a picture from happier days. This was at the end of my choir’s holiday performance, when the orchestra stood and John turned to face the audience to acknowledge the thunderous applause.

Poor Stacy. I wish I could be with you next to your couch having easy chat.
Keep in touch with any friend near by. It is always a friend who can help you in case of emergency.
I just send my wishes to you!

    Hey Stacy,
Sorry to hear you’re still feeling bad. Most of my relatives who had a similar thing (I guess?) took about a week to get over, and start to regain their strength.

Thank you for your kind words about my mother. Unfortunately, she passed away this morning around 5 AM; it was a hard night, her breathing was so labored. I hope she is at peace now, and of course, it’ll be a really emotionally difficult time for me and my 3 sisters as well. We’re all still in that strange shock/limbo, but trying to make arrangents.

    Again, hoping you recover soon.

Oh God, Cara. I’m so sorry. And I remember the labored breathing as my mother died. A nurse explained how it would go beforehand so we were expecting it, but it is hard to witness someone you love go through that. It seems to take forever. I am so so sorry.
