TODAY'S INTERESTS

The Theatre Thing.

I had a theatre thing once, and I joined the Department of Performance Studies at New York University thinking I would continue working in that vein. I was wrong, but that's: okay. I've spent my remaining time trying to think of other ways to justify being in a place called Performance Studies.

For a few years now I've been particularly interested in the intersections between two specific types of performance: high performance computing (a way to describe the dyamic of packet switching on the Internet) and "gender performatvity" (a way to describe, well, gender.) Here's a riff if what I just said makes no sense.
