Music for Robots
In 2002, Joshua Fried was asked to create music for the GuitarBot, a robotic electric slide guitar created by the LEMUR collective (League of Electronic Musical Urban Robots). The response was the 4-minute Emergency Bot TV Theme, intended to be 1 movement of a 30-minute suite.

On the strength of this piece Fried won a major grant to complete Music for Robots which will premiere April 12, 2004 at Harvestworks.
