Banana Dana Bread

I have a recipe for Banana Bread, a.k.a. Banana Dana Bread.

Tools:

fork
cooling rack
2 bowls
magic spoon (or just regular spoon)
oven mitts
loaf pan

Ingredients:

1 cup sugar (we used part brown sugar)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg
1 teaspoon baking soda
a bit of butter to grease the pan
2 or 3 very ripe bananas (about one cup)
2 cups of flour
1/4 cup chopped walnuts (we didn't add these) (optional)
1/2 cup oil

1. Heat the oven to 350 degrees. Butter bottom and sides of loaf pan and sprinkle with a little flour. Shake out extra flour.
2. Peel the bananas and mash with fork in a small bowl.
3. In the other bowl, mix the sugar, oil and egg with your magic spoon until creamy with yellow color (it wasn't yellow for us because we used brown sugar.)
4. Blend in mashed bananas and add nuts if you like them.
5. Add flour, baking soda and salt. Break up any lumps. Stir until smooth and all the flour is mixed in. (We added chocolate chips here to our bread.)

Baking:
6. Spoon the batter into loaf pan and bake for one hour. If the top of the loaf springs back after you touch it or if you stick a toothpick in and it's comes out clean, then it's done

7. Cool on the cooling rack for 15 minutes then dump the bread onto the rack and cool some more before slicing.

(voila)(And serve)

Albuquerque Turkey

This is a very very very good song for Thanksgiving. You might as well even sing it for Thanksgiving. Here's the song:

Alburquerque, he's my turkey,
And he's feathered and hes fine.

And he wobbles, and he gobbles,
And I'm awfully glad he's mine.

He's the best pet you can ever get.
Better than a dog or cat.

Albuquerque, he's my turkey,
And I'm awfully glad of that.

Albuquerque, he's my turkey,
he's so cozy in his bed.

Because for our Thanksgiving Dinner
We had scrambled eggs instead!

It's a very very very very good song for Thanksgiving. Oh - add another very.
