First of all, I would like to apologize for not writing any new posts in a while. Summer has gotten me lazy.
Anyway...
For the last two weeks Drama Mama (See Lifetime Joy) and me have been having a lemonade stand.
It all started when Drama Mama decided she wanted to have a lemonade stand. She said if I helped she would give me half of her profits. That day we made 18 dollars. I thought it would be a good idea to keep doing it daily, as long as the weather was nice. I also proposed using some of our profits to buy more supplies, instead of Mom buying everything.
So far we've only spent about 6 or 7 dollars on supplies and we've made around 40 dollars, which is good since we were out there only 6 times due to weather and appointments (mainly swimming). We plan to keep doing this, so if you happen to be near 21st, just north of Broadway, feel free to stop by. If you mention this post, you get a free refill!
...And I've been working like a dog. I can really relate to that song after working all day, trying to make my moms Mother's Day the best.
It all started this morning around 9 o'clock, when I made breakfast. I spent about an hour making eggs with ham and cheese, and 15 pieces of bacon. Then, I had to try and amuse my sister and try to give mom her space, a feat I will never attempt again. After a little relaxation time mixed with keeping my sister quiet while my mom slept, we were off to the grocery store to get my sister an early birthday present. And, of course, it starts raining, and my sister didn't bring her coat, so I gave her my sweatshirt and walked 10 blocks in the rain in a short sleeve shirt. After that I finally got some quality relaxation time, that is until I remembered that I had homework. By the time I finished that, it was 10 o'clock, and I was wiped, so I sat down and wrote this post. And now, I'm doomed to go to sleep with that great Beatles song stuck in my head,"It's been a hard days night, and I've been working like dog"...
