Klaus Kampenaars is from the Netherlands. He studied graphic-design at the Kunstgewerbe Schule in Graz, Austria. After working 4 years for Humanic, one of the most challenging clients in Austria at the time, he moved to London. After one year as a designer at Minale Tattersfield, he returned to the Netherlands where he started to work for Tel Design, creating large scale corporate identities. In 1989 Klaus moved to New York. Before he carried out his own entrepreneurial ideas, he established himself as Associate Designer for Doublespace. With Ingborg Bloem he funded xHEIGHT an online international graphic-design collaborative based in New York and Amsterdam. Aside from a strong connection with the artworld, clients include: AICPA, Amway Cosmetics, Arcade Music Group, Calvin Klein, Fox Lorber, Interport, Levi Strauss, Nike, Oilily, Sony Music, Swatch, USRobotics, Warnaco with others.
