is a collection of wishes received from around the
world by spoken word, mail, e mail, fax, phone, and the web
(see www.wishmachine.com & wishmachin@aol.com) in conjunction with the artist's project
The Wish Machine. Originally commissioned in 1997 by Creative Time for Grand Central Station,
New York City, The Wish Machine is a customized vending machine dispensing artist wish multiples.
Each wish includes a printed photocollage of a plant with a vial of its essential oil for
the participant to wish on. The Wish Machine continues to travel internationally.
