top to bottom: Honey Pecan Bars, Cranberry White Chocolate Chip Drops with Pecans, and Mini Pumpkin Cheesecake Tarts
Well, the Big Yom Kippur Dinner Party is history. All went well, except for the moment that I used the word "tits," referring to my own, not realizing that someone's 13-year old son was in the room.
Anyone for dessert?
Posted by volfie at October 7, 2003 12:59 PMWow! Those look fantastic! It's a good thing I'm already having a cookie with my afternoon tea or I would be making a raid on a bakery Right Now.
Posted by: Cori on October 7, 2003 02:25 PMAs if a boy has reached the age of 13 without hearing the term "tits"
Bad form if he uses the word himself - not having gained the subtle skills related to context - but not really bad form hearing a woman use the word
Posted by: Alan on October 7, 2003 09:15 PMNot just a random woman...his mom's friend! Might as well be his own mom, practically. Trust me, it was mortifying for both of us.

Maybe you should go into private catering for parties of no more than 20 and no less than 4. There is a need everywhere.
What, no doilies?
Posted by: delegatrix on October 9, 2003 08:13 AMbut the plates were cute! and, as people at the cookies, they could be seen. besides, doilies are yucky and suitable only for children's crafts. even if you were just kidding.
Posted by: terry on October 9, 2003 10:21 AMI did not know that you were not a fan of the doilies. I am left speechless.
