This might be the funniest thing I have ever seen.

This morning on the radio the DJs were interviewing Ian Hamilton of Jethro Tull. He was quite articulate and interesting. So the DJ asked him about a rumor he had heard that Ian has Bengal tigers. No no no, in fact Ian has Bengal cats, a crossing of the small Asian Leopard Cat (ALC) to the domestic cat. Quite a difference.

Posted by: terry on November 7, 2003 02:38 PMThe DJs were talking to Ian *ANDERSON* of Jethro Tull.
(And Mel says he needs an energetic, exotic Bengal-halfbreed friend to play with...)
Posted by: ziggy on November 7, 2003 03:06 PMYes, Anderson. The weird part is, they were also talking to Tony Snow who is a huge Jethro Tull fan, and will MC at their DC gig this month, and sit in on a song.
Posted by: delegatrix on November 7, 2003 03:39 PMi have met bengals in person. once i went into urban bird, which had a sign on the door advertising bengal kittens. dozens of rabid-looking parrots flew around loose -- the stink was paralyzing. there were two sad little bengal kittens in a cage, howling piteously. the birds would swoop down and perch on the kittens' cage, spreading their wings menacingly, and the cats would cry and cry and cry. they were beautiful, but terrified.
Posted by: julie on November 7, 2003 03:49 PMpoor kitties. I've been in urban bird, and the macaws menaced me, too! they are huge and power-hungry, and they land and shit where they please. why anyone would want one, especially given their 147-or-so-year life span is completely beyond me. who's tony snow?
Posted by: terry on November 7, 2003 05:33 PMTony Snow is a FOX News conservative talking head.
