{"id":510,"date":"2009-05-28T07:26:53","date_gmt":"2009-05-28T11:26:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.stacyhorn.com\/unbelievable\/?p=510"},"modified":"2009-05-28T07:28:47","modified_gmt":"2009-05-28T11:28:47","slug":"more-machines-of-the-paranormal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.echonyc.com\/~horn\/unbelievable\/?p=510","title":{"rendered":"More Machines of the Paranormal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Boston medium Mina Crandon, aka Margery, used a number of devices to communicate with the dead, and also to establish the authenticity of those communications. \u00a0This is one of her voice machines, but I&#8217;m not entirely sure which one it is. \u00a0Oh wait, this must be the &#8220;spirit bell box.&#8221; \u00a0Those are clearly bells inside.<\/p>\n<p>Although Margery&#8217;s feet and hands were held or tied during seances, the bells in the box would ring out during the seance, supposedly rung by the spirit of Margery&#8217;s dead brother Walter. \u00a0However during one demonstration, Houdini felt Margery&#8217;s feet manipulate the box, just as J. B.
