{"id":72,"date":"2009-02-01T09:40:13","date_gmt":"2009-02-01T13:40:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.stacyhorn.com\/unbelievable\/?p=72"},"modified":"2009-04-01T09:19:00","modified_gmt":"2009-04-01T13:19:00","slug":"getting-things-ready","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.echonyc.com\/~horn\/unbelievable\/?p=72","title":{"rendered":"Getting Things Ready"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>My book comes out next month, so I&#8217;m gearing up! \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Below is a picture of\u00a0a few of the scientists from the Lab: \u00a0Bill Davidson, Betty McMahan and Betty Humphrey, aka &#8220;the Bettys.&#8221; \u00a0I love this shot. \u00a0It&#8217;s so atmospheric. I was able to interview Betty McMahan, (called BettyMac to distinguish her from Betty Humphrey).<\/p>\n<p>I came to love the Bettys. \u00a0There was over 700 boxes of archives at the Special Collections Library at Duke, and the ones dealing directly with the experiments often went over my head.
