Out on the Playa, Ariana demonstrated her taste in art.

One of the best pieces this year was Uchronia, a structure by Belgian artists more commonly referred to as "The Waffle." Barry and Mo have really great photos of it. Caius - who's name is taken from the Latin vulgate for "breakfast pastry" - loves the Waffle.

Raya, Tom and Caius were always ready to confuse and bewilder.

Elsewhere, Mo and Douglas kept watch. Silent and lethal, they were the Desert Ermine.

Ack! Ack ack!

While back in Black Rock City, one camp convinced unwary Burners to play its life-sized version of Operation, which was hooked up to a car battery.
