Praying Mantis courtship ritual ending in oblivion.
Lies that echo round in stillness,
Truth that primps and preens,
Beauty turned to ugly reminiscence,
Transformed in seeking out its own perfection.

Retracing these sleepwalked journeys through silken pyjama's dreamless dawn.
Reason overwhelms with its power of persuasion,
Erasing scarce remembered pain before the fulness of its welling night.
Saurian still, Cretaceous movement.
Uncertain thoughts, gently lapping shores of prehistoric beaches,
Eroding time, returning to the dunes.
Imperfect glances, hiding all they show,
Funneling fallacious future's light through closing doors of hope.
Mislaid torpor falling through the mists of swollen lies,
Cryogenic truth, frozen in suspended animation, awaits the thaw.

Primitive palliatives relieving only surface imperfections,
Spackled cracks of intuition's shadow.
Blackening twilight - limited purview's golden sunset,
Fading to foreboding, twinkling Venus-glow,
Heaven's starry balustrade, walkway into night,
Mythic territory, traveled in cloak of indecision-
Skeins of wistfulness, spun tight and worn long.
Hiding progeny in folds of celestial gowns,
Material of Asgard,
Rainbow Bridge, receding into infinity,
Carries these thoughts through thickening gloom,
Through capable gloom,
Through cleansing gloom,
Finding the way without recoil.

Unhealthy reticence, beyond normality,
Triumphant bloodletting, and the leeches die forlorn,
At the spa for the soul on the shores of the Lethe,
River running into mystery, fed by the receding flood-
Melting whimsy of the night,
Brings shafts of dirty downtown light
Through smokestained windows eye,
Disturbing and destroying all my hideous premonitions,
