For most of us at the Liminal Lounge, the crowning achievment for the week would be our little Tom (AKA "Miss Adventure") winning the Miss Black Rock City contest. Here, he placed well in one of the preliminary heats, wherein the costestants were spanked while chugging down box wine fresh out of the plastic bag. Tom prepares by first declaring his samurai spirit, and crying, "No, Mommy, I've been a good boy." |
Another preliminary in which Tom crushed the competition was the Basic Auto Knowledge Heat. Herein, the contestants were required to identify basic components on an art car, and answer questions such as "So, you're driving down the Thruway, and the engine starts smoking, and you only have a stick of gum. What do you do?" Theresa ("Terra Fire Ball") - of the Hungry March Band - was the MC. |

On the day of the Miss Black Rock City finals, Tom primped with the able help of the Black Rock City Body Hair Barber, whom some may recognize from his cable network show on gadgetry. Sadly, all this effort came to naught, as Tom's competition vastly out-bribed him with the judges. Of course, the fact that the winner was genuinely hot had nothing to do with the crowning glory. |
Meanwhile, in another part of town, the Titty Totter maintained the BRC standard of "safety last." |
And the Black Rock City Roller Disco reanimated cadaverous cultural detritus. |
And Caius recklessly enthused.
